Tag, I'm it!
I have been "tagged" by Mojo. Rules: list five songs that you are currently digging - it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions and the five songs (with artist) in your blog. Then tag five people to see what they're listening to.
Here is my list of the songs I am currently digging:
1. Feel Good Inc. -- Gorillaz
Yes, from an iPod commercial, but a damn good roller skating jam.
2. Lay all Your Love on Me -- ABBA
This song was a 'one of these things is not like the other' on a classics compilation my sister burned at my place and then returned back to me. The bass line really rocks.
3. Crazy Little Thing Called Love -- Queen
Other example of great backing vocals by Queen, love the line "Until I'm ready, Ready Freddy, Crazy Little thing called love"
4. Don't Stop Believing -- Journey
From the movie Monster -- the song came out years before the story of Aileen Wuornos, but the lyrics seem like were written for her. Journey did have some cheesy '80s moments, but this was definitely not one of them.
5. This Fire – Franz Ferdinand
I am digging these bands that sound like bands from the early '80s without ripping any early '80's band off too hard. These guys and The Killers are two of them.
Ok, the five people I am tagging are:
Angela
Tim
Sangroncito
Jamie
Lindsay
(since you don't have a blog, just e-mail me your five and I will publish them here. Since we're sisters, we can share a blog ;)

Yes, "Taste the Summer" is from the new Duran Duran album. It has a lot of "doo doo doo's" in it. Very catchy. And the k.d. lang song is from "Hymns of the 49th Parallel", which just came out last year. It's all covers of songs by Canadian songwriters, that particular one being a Jane Siberry song. It's really beautiful...highly recommended!
people should not violate the sanctity of the blog....
